Region Training Conference

Region Training Conference is an event that takes place at Camp Jones Gulch. The event consists of workshops, socializing, bonding, competitions, and more! Region Training Conference is one of the most loved events by many members. It is a two day and one night event usually held in the latter half of September. South San Francisco's Key Club holds a tradition of going to Arcangeli Grocery after leaving Camp Jones Gulch and getting sandwiches, later going to a beach before heading back home.

What exactly do people do at Region Training Conference?
Region Training Conference begins with an introductory session where the Lieutenant Governors from each attending division as well as a special guest from the District Board introduce themselves, put on an opening skit, an reveal the character they will be representing according to the theme they have established for that year's Region Training Conference. Split into groups under a Lieutenant Governor or special guest from District Board, each group being a random mix among attendees from each division. These groups bond together and create a skit and cheer following a key idea and promoting Key Club values. Aside from group activities, there are a variety of workshops that are help and round robins led by leading the leading individuals in order to help train members to be outstanding individuals.
What makes Region Training Conference worth going to?
This event allows members to meet and bond with new people they may have never met before. They typically bond with at very least someone if not a multitude of people and gain new friendships that they would not typically find at other large-scale events. Many strong friendships have sprouted from Region Training Conference. This training conference also allows Key Clubbers to forge greater bonds with peers from their local club as well!
