District Convention

District Convention is an event where Key Clubbers from throughout the Cali-Nev-Ha District convene at the convention location. From a variety of places, Key Clubbers are able to meet with individuals who they would ordinarily never meet. This generally allows members to forms bonds and friendships with a number of people.

What exactly is District Convention?

Occurring usually in April, District Convention is meant to recognize those who have done exceptional work throughout the term as well as to retire individuals in positions from the term and install those for the next term, officially serving as a transition between terms. A three day event, attendees arrive at about noon on the Friday of and leave on Sunday, also around noon. Due to the nature of the event, it evokes many emotions. These emotions are often related to celebration of achievements or to sorrow that accompanies the realization that it is the end of the Key Club journey for members in high regard. Nonetheless, District Convention is an event that is especially important and serves as a great experience for any who feel strongly about Key Club.
